CRM #41: The Second Annual Nintendo Issue
Written by Aesthel
It’s hard to believe that the summer has already come to an end! But here we are on September 1st of 2020 with a new issue of Cosplay Realm Magazine for you all! This month’s issue is our second annual Nintendo issue, and it features cosplayer Chibith0t as Nessa from Pokémon Sword and Shield, photographed here by Topherblev! The 2020 Nintendo issue runs in at a total of 88 pages and includes our cover feature interview, cosplay and photography highlights, and articles about crafting and what these beloved Nintendo characters mean to all of us! Print and Digital copies of this month’s issue of the magazine are now OFFICIALLY live for purchase on our storefront!
What more can you find within our 2020 Nintendo issue? Why just about every celebrated and nostalgic Nintendo series of course! Besides the obvious of Pokémon (which by the way, there are SO many great Pokémon cosplays this year both of the human characters and many unique takes on the Pokémon themselves!), you can also find series like Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, the Legend of Zelda, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid, and of course everyone’s favorite little plumber guy, Mario!
We had such a great time interviewing Chibith0t for our cover feature this month! In the interview we touched on a few really interesting topics that we are sure you guys will love reading about. To name a few of the things, together we spoke about Sachi’s background in the fashion industry, her Twitch channel, working with brands like Funimation on an official capacity, Sachi’s efforts to raise money for charities. We also chatted about the importance of POC representation in both the media world and the cosplay world specifically, as well as tips to find photographers who are knowledgeable about shooting darker skin tones!
If you had work featured in this month’s issue of Cosplay Realm Magazine, please keep an eye out on your email! Tearsheets will begin going out around 2PM EST today, but it can take up to 48 hours for them all to go through. Please be sure to wait at least 48 hours for all tearsheets to send through before contacting us, if you haven’t received a tearsheet after 48 hours please email us then.
With another incredible month coming to an end, that also means that we are now closer to our next issue’s release! We have a few upcoming themes announced over on our Submit tab, we would love to see any of you reading this send in your work for one of our upcoming issues!
