CRM #27 The Pride Issue

This month Cosplay Realm’s theme is Pride! We asked you guys to send in what Pride means to you and to show off your amazing cosplays. We have included canonically LGBT characters in the media as well as headcanons and real life LGBT creators.
As two LGBT creators ourselves, this theme was really important to both of us here at Cosplay Realm. Both Emily and I identify as Bisexual, so we both deeply understand the importance of LGBT representation in the media. Because of this, we wanted to make sure we included people of all different kinds of identities and walks of life. We wanted to make sure our nonbinary friends felt included in this theme, because there are not many canon representations of nonbinary characters or storylines in the media. We wanted to make sure our transgender friends felt included in this issue, no matter where they are on their journey. In this issue you can find post op and pre op transgender cosplayers. We wanted to make sure that many different sexualities were showcased in this issue. Inside you can find gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, and asexual creators.
Our wonderful cover feature this month is Cowbutt Crunchies photographed by Sam Saturn! Cowbutt Crunchies is an incredibly talented cosplay couple. Inside this issue you can find a full interview spread with them. In the interview we cover changes in the cosplay community since their start around 2012, cosplay competitions, meeting through fandom, and the benefits of sharing the hobby of cosplay with your partner! Cowbutt Crunchies have been some of our favorite cosplayers for so long, we were so thrilled to finally do a big feature with them and have them on a cover of the magazine! Be sure to follow Cowbutt Crunchies across their social media to see more of their beautiful cosplays and lots of helpful cosplay tutorials!

Simply Arabella recently won the giveaway we hosted over on our instagram for a full two page interview spread and a free copy of the magazine.
