"I hope others will see this and be inspired to do what makes them happy and find self confidence with themselves."

-Kingkitsu

Kingkitsu was recently featured in Cosplay Realm Magazine’s Pride Issue, and today we wanted to take some time to highlight some of his work! Kingkitsu is a cosplayer who takes pride in being visibly transgender and POC. He often takes the time to speak publicly on issues that both LGBT and POC creators face day to day. He’s been a part of the cosplay world since 2013 and has created some amazing cosplays since then! In fact, the majority of his cosplays are self made.

Kingkitsu is most known for cosplaying characters from Boku No Hero Academia. He does multiple characters from the series including Dabi, Kirishima, Bakugou, Deku, Present Mic, Eraserhead, and more. Besides cosplaying a lot of BNHA, you can also find Kingkitsu cosplaying from Kingdom Hearts, Voltron, and Final Fantasy to name a few other series.

In addition to his own cosplay, Kitsu also takes dress commissions. His dresses are absolutely beautiful and just by looking at some photos you can really see all of the craftsmanship and work that goes into them. You can find information on his commissions easily on his Facebook page to learn more.

Kingkitsu can be found online across social media on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok. Be sure to also check out his Patreon where you can help fund his projects and see extra content and a behind the scenes look into what he’s working on!

Pick up a copy of the Pride issue of Cosplay Realm Magazine to read a full write up by Kingkitsu about his journey of self discovery through cosplay and the importance of showing both pre-op and post-op transgender creators in the media.
